    Blogalia in the big leagues!

    Check out this
    Daypop score or whatever
Blogalia, this smallish spanish blog hosting site, created by Víctor, is in the 4th seat, right up there, with the likes of Fark, Slashdot, BoingBoing... and higher up than, for instance, Metafilter....
Hold on there, Slashdot! Here we go!

The problem is that daypop is rating blogalia as if it was a single weblog (reason for having so many links), and not a complete blogging system (reason why, imho, it should not be there).

And what about Slashdot? Is it a single weblog? Or memepool?

    De: fernand0 Fecha: 2003-07-08 15:31

    Yes, /. is. Memepool don't know 0:)

When many people link to /. is because they follow it and read it. With memepool don't know.

When many people link to is because the system automatically puts a link to it.

Yep, that's right, but you have to take into account that this ranking is due to score, not only to the raw number of citations (blogalia is 65th there); which means that blogalia blogs are above average in score.
In any case, wbloggar is also in the ranking, for instance... and slashdot gets automatic links from many slash sites, too, and newsfeeds...
So I still think it's an achievement.

I'm not silly enough to think that Blogalia is that important. Nor the Cuaderno de Bitácora, which is at 75th.

Well, take it at face value. Whatever they're measuring, I guess 4th is better than 5th, and both better than nothing.
