    Flying to Dortmund

Since Dortmund is not the kind of place you would fly for a thryst or to visit the famous Hanging Gardens of Dortmund, you might be wandering why I'm going there. Well, I'll be attending the Parallel Problem Solving From Nature X conference, which for me is one of the most consistently good evolutionary algorithms conferences I've attended. The poster-only format means there are more opportunities for interaction, and the quality of the papers is also quite good usually.
The online proceedings are already available (and I do have lots of left over from PPSN 2002, just drop me a line if you want a still wrapped copy), but I haven't found a lot of online buzz on it, since it's a smallish conference (around 200 people), just this reference in Jorge Tavares' blog.
