    It's already that time of the year...

    ... when you (and everybody else with an email address printed on top of a paper in your University) start to receive emails from (mainly) Indian students in fields marginally related to yours wanting to spend a summer internship with you. I don't know if this a new version of the Nigerian scam or it is for real; I do know that it's barely below the level to be considered spam, since everybody else is getting the same emails from the same persons.
