    Ants go to war

If you're in or around Nottingham next Monday, and are interested (or not) in applications of ant colony optimization algorithms, I'll be at the ASAP group giving a talk on ant colony optimization for military path planning. For the time being, the talk is wrongly listed as being next Tuesday, but it will be fixed soon.

the behavior of the ant-colony-governed is quite close to the way an actual military commander would follow

I find this assertion a bit ironic :D

    I really don't know... and yes, it's a bit tongue-in-cheek.
