Things you shouldn't miss in Vienna

    • Almdudler, one of the national non-alcoholic drinks (yep, there's such a thing). "If there's no Almdudler, we're leaving". Can mix it with tetrabrik wine to create a local kalimotxo.
    • Convertibles. After Rodeo Drive and some streets in Miami, the Ring in Vienna is the place with most convertibles per streetlight meter. Which implies more than a bit of bravery, since temperature, even in June, is not so hot, and it rains quite often (I guess it's the only place you see people dressed in Loden riding convertibles). But, what the heck, that's what they are called convertibles, to turn them into a normal roofed car. Buckets are provided to reduce water when it rains real good
    • Where else in the world can you sur the Internet via WiFi seated (comfortably) in a pink contraption? Go to the , and have your go at it. Bonus added: you can wardrive while it rains.fernand0 looking for the wave
    • Ottakringer is an excellent, if a bit heady, local beer, but if the last time you were seen with a 1/2 liter of beer in you hand was when you were a high school sophomore, try a radler, which is just half beer, half lemon drink.
    • Never order a Wiener (nor that you possibly could): the typical dish in Vienna is the wienerschnitzel, breaded deep-fried beef or veal, with a size that normally exceeds that of a plate
    • Finally, don't forget the Apfelstrüdel, a warm apple cobbler with powdered sugar on top
