    The Marvel years

FF by KirbyJonathan Lethem, of Motherless Brooklyn fame, writes an article on his Marvel years (via blogdex), which isn't really about Marvel, but about the image we have from the past and how it's really different from what people who were there, lived. Like "If you remember the sixties, you weren't there".
On the other hand, it's about Stan Lee, and Jack Kirby, and the different conception of superheroes they had. I never really liked Jack Kirby, so I might be missing something here, but I was an early fan of the Fantastic Four. I guess I grew out of it, eventually.
