It quite obviously is, but is it still the 600-pound gorilla that could buy any software firm, and even some small countries?
I would say it no longer has room to manoeuver as it did. Recently it got attacked from the
Eolas patent (and it will have to pay several hundred million bucks), rapped for his
buy music feature, and, in general,
is getting a lot of unwanted attention from judges (LA Times, reg required).
Will it go the way of the dodo? (Or
SGI, for instance) Will we have to look for a fresh enemy?
